About
The Colorado Interfaith Green Building Collaboratory (IGBC) is a coalition of faith-based and mission-oriented organizations dedicated to implementing solutions to the climate crisis and to promoting more sustainable ways of living, working, and worshipping.
Who are We?
Members of the Colorado Interfaith Green Building Collaboratory are concerned about the existential threat of the climate crisis linked to unsustainable human behavior and wish to live their values by taking action.
This diverse group of organizations share common values including what can be described as “creation care.” Each denomination of this interfaith alliance has their own unique expression of “creation care,” but share a common concern about the harm humans are causing to all of creation.
These non-profit organizations are willing to work together collaboratively to share knowledge and resources that will measurably reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. Some member organizations already have started on a path to zero GHG emissions and are willing to share their “lessons learned.” These organizations realize they are “early adopters” of new ways of thinking – and in that sense they are experimenting and serving as models for others.
