Progress
This page will describe the progress of the Interfaith Green Building Collaboratory on several different fronts: Actual reduction in GHG emissions of the faith-based organizations that are members (measured in metric tonnes of CO2 eq .) ; progress on special project involving collaboration with third parties, e.g. there is a common problem involving the replacement of gas fired boilers used to heat water for hot water radiative heating systems.)
A large chart identifying all the organizations and their progress will be visible to demonstrate that progress is being made and the plans to reduce GHG emissions to verify that the organization is in compliance with latest IPCC 1.5 Report. The chart will also identify illustrate the remaining challenges at each facility based on their current fossil fuel usage / utility bill.
There will also be a progress report on the Grounds not just the Building
There will also be a section on what has been identified as much needed changes to the social system to allow faith-based organization to make the transition to renewable energy and stop their GHG emissions e.g. Remove the arbitrary 25 kW threshold for increased demand charges – Religious organizations have a usage profile that peaks on worship days – and that peak demand is used for a whole year. The peak demand should be set at the rating of the organization peak production level.
